The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, architecture, and science. GATE scores are also used by many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment to various technical positions. The examination tests comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in engineering and science.
